Early Life and Career
Alvarez was born on March 7, 1991 in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. He started playing tennis at the age of nine and quickly rose through the ranks of the junior circuit, winning his first ITF Junior title in 2007. After graduating high school, Alvarez decided to turn pro in 2011 and started playing on the ITF Futures and Challenger tour.
